Here's a very nice post from Scott Bourne of MacBreak Weekly and the Apple Phone Show from last week: I Saw A Little History Yesterday Thanks to Leo Laporte.
Scott says a number of very nice things, including this excerpt:
Leo managed to make sure things kept rolling even though the iPhone was covered non-stop for 24 hours. Again, this is not easy. I was pretty excited by the variety of topics and opinions that were presented as was the audience.
Now let’s look at what really happened. At any given second, between 7000 and 8000 people were watching LIVE. The cumulative audience for the event was just under 300,000! These are cable TV numbers folks without the Cable TV! We constantly had about 600-700 people on chat joining in as well.
The streaming part of this was amazing. The folks at Stickam did a great job. Streaming media has come a very long way since I started delivering radio with the Internet at NetRadio in the 90s. We could never support an audience that large simultaneously. Many of my listeners commented that it felt like the old TechTV days. I have to agree.
Leo’s been on the bleeding edge of technology media from day one. He’s always innovating and always trying to find new ways to serve his audience.
As far as I know, nothing has ever been done like this in the brief history of new media. To do 24-hour, live, streaming coverage of a single event in front of an audience of this size is a staggering achievement.
In case you didn't catch it, this is the Easter egg album art that was included in last week's episode of MacBreak Weekly (61). We were waiting to use it until the Yellow Submarine iPod somehow came up again, which it did npt. But since Merlin is taking paternity leave of the show, Leo thought we might as well use it now. The "Collector's Edition" album art variation showed up on iPods but not on iTunes, and a few folks caught it, including Paul Mayson, strredwolf and rokku. Of course, Scott Bourne didn't happen to be on this episode, and Andy Ihnatko and Chris Breen were, but hey, I didn't have caricatures of them to plug in.
This is a super MacBreak promo along the same lines. It was created by Frank Boer a couple of months ago.

Check out This Week in Tech episode 111, "Unlocked," to hear Ryan Block speak about the various methods of unlocking the iPhone. Block also chimed in on "The Tech Guy" on Sunday.
And in other phone news, Paul Thurrott, host of Windows Weekly, commented on his blog today about rumors of a Google Phone.
Not to be outdone, Scott Bourne, co-host of MacBreak Weekly and ApplePhoneShow.com, commented on the Zune Phone.
Justine Ezarik joined in on this week's MacBreak Weekly.
For those of you who haven't seen Justine's video depicting her unpacking her 300 page iPhone bill, see below. But lest you think she's become a hater, read what she posted on Tasty Blog Snack today:
"There seems to be some misconception on where I stand with AT&T and Apple! The iPhone bill video definitely wasn’t intended to be anything negative on either company! I made the video only to point out the comical aspect of my phone bill being delivered in a box. Rest assured my friends, I couldn’t be happier with AT&T and if you haven’t caught on — I’m one of the biggest Apple enthusiasts ever. As for the iPhone? I love it. That goes without saying."
Alas, Apple announced no new yellow products today.
In what has become an ongoing theme, the gang at MacBreak Weekly, led by Merlin Mann, has been floating the fake rumor of a Beatles-branded Yellow Submarine iPod and/or MacBook. Listeners (including MacFranky) love the idea, and have created some mock-ups of their own.

From Gizmodo:
From Wired:
Wil Harris, a frequent TWiT co-host from the UK, got two pieces of hardware this week during his trip to New York. One came from the Apple Store, the other from Tiffany's.
He only attached a long term agreement to one of them.
Sorry ladies, he's off the market. Congratulations, Wil!
This week on WebNation, Amber MacArthur of Net at Nite and CityNews interviewed two chess players who have gone on to success in other fields. Garry Kasparov was interviewed about his efforts to help democracy in Russia. Leo Laporte was interviewed about the iPhone via webcam. See Amber's posting.

They may not yet have the iPhone in France, but the website iPhoneInFrance.fr is already reporting it. They recapped TWiT 103 by saying:
