Dane's Roz schedule for Monday

[UPDATE: I will begin streaming to Leo at TWiTlive.tv about an hour before Roz lands at the Yacht Club. Previous to that, I will attempt to stream at http://stickam.com/danegolden.]

Rick at WeatherGuy.com estimates that Roz could arrive in the Waikiki Yacht Club anytime between 1130 and 1530 local time.

Assuming the earliest time possible, 11:30 a.m. local time (2:30 p.m. Pacific time) arrival of Roz at the Waikiki Yacht Club, the following schedule would likely apply (add as many as four hours to each estimate).
 
4 a.m.
- Roz reached Koko Head, unaccompanied.

9 a.m.
- Media/Observation boat (with Dane Golden of TWiT aboard) leaves Waikiki Yacht Club.
- Tow boat (with Bill's documentary team aboard) leaves yacht club.

9:30-10 a.m.
- Media/Observation boat and Tow Boat shoot video of Roz at Diamond Head. This is the feature shot for local news, as it is the finish line for TransPac. We'll be near the red buoy 0.6 miles off-shore from the lighthouse. We might be looking into the sunrise, but they've faced this before and it seems to be OK.
- At this point I will attempt to be streaming live to http://stickam.com/danegolden.

10 a.m.
- Media/Observation boat turns and head back towards yacht club (at around 30-40 knots).
- Documentary team continues on with Roz.

10:30-10:45 a.m.
- Media/Observation boat arrives at yacht club.

11 a.m.
- Roz reaches her "Finish Line" recorded by documentary team riding in tow boat. At this point she will have officially completed the voyage. She then hooks up to the Tow Boat.
- The Tow Boat takes her at a maximum 5 knots towards the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor turning basin, 300 yards from yacht club, maneuvering her around other boats.

11:30 a.m.
Roz arrives at turning basin. She rows last 300 yards under her own power into Waikiki Yacht Club where she is mobbed by friends, family, fans, and media, and steps on land for the first time in months.

11:45-12:30
Leo interviews Roz via Skype video at either dock or yacht club.

NOTES

- When they refer to finish or "her finish" or "Roz's Finish," this is actually not the Waikiki Yacht Harbor but a point almost a mile (and 30 minutes) out to sea (when she crosses 157 50W longitude), at which she will have been determined to complete the crossing. Not sure why this point is chosen. It is different than the Trans Pac finish, which is out near Diamond Head.

- Bill's documentary team will be on a boat that will film her at that point and then that boat will tow her to the opening of the Ala Wai small Harbor. From that opening she will row the last 400 yards on her own power (a victory lap) onto the yacht club D dock.

- I will video (presumably streaming live on Stickam video) her with Diamond Head in the background, probably the most picturesque shot of the day. When she crossed that point, my observation boat will speed back to the Yacht Club, while she will continue on parallel to the beach to her designated "finish" about a mile out.

- When I get back to the yacht club, I will set up both to record her landing at the end of the dock, and probably also a better lit location similar to Saturday's spot, where I'll probably set up a more in-depth interview between Roz and Leo.
